Science on Screen, where we pair fun films with mini-presentations by local experts with a goal to promote scientific literacy through entertainment. Hosted on the first Friday of every month.

June 1st Film: The Birds - directed by Alfred Hitchcock

A brief talk about The Society of Birds followed by the film The Birds by Alfred Hitchcock. Chris Lewey, from Raven Interpretations, will present the final Science on Screen event at the Gem. An informal meet and greet begins at 6:00pm with the presentation at 6:30 and film at 7:00. There will be a short Q & A following the film. Admission: $8 for adults and $6 for members. Students in middle and high school are free. This presentation is made possible by a grant from the Coolidge Corner Theater and the Alfred P. Sloan foundation.
Cost: Admission for this event is $8.00 for the public, $6.00 for members of The Gem and is FREE to HS students.
